ABSURD SLOGANS EVER USED IN THE WORLD

      Introduction

In different periods in the history of human existence, individuals at key powerful positions that manifest or project some kind of power, or those in the process of seeking anything that elevates and accords them some special status, always embark on means they can use to gain or maintain their influence and improve their standing in the society. Different entities, politicians and various notable public figures, in order to realize this, pursue different methods and commit a sizable portion of their fortune towards this end. A variety of strategies are brought on board in order to meet  this key objectives, which are very crucial in matters pertaining to power. After having everything set and in order, all of the initiatives deployed towards this goal, are folded together and summarized with a catchy phrase-a statement designed to be short, simple and direct for easy absorption by the targeted masses. Both famous and infamous figures in many cases employ this strategy which involves a crafty play of words, specifically meant to keep and maintain their strongholds tight of ardent fans, and also as a way of wooing new supporters from the other ridge of opposing camp. This is a common thing in an environment rife with some form of competition in any given direction. Below is among the popular slogans ever used in the world as a way of rallying people for various causes.

  1:Make America Great Again(MAGA)

This was a popular slogan used by Donald Trump, the republican presidential candidate in the 2016 presidential election. This election pitted Trump against Hillary Clinton, and was one of the most hotly contested elections in the history of American politics. Trump's campaign phrase found its way into the conservative bases and right wing segments of the general population. The profound effects it had in the campaign grounds, is well evident in his unusual win which many did not anticipate, as Trump later after the conclusion of the election exercise, thrashed his opponent and claimed the esteemed spot in the oval office.

The slogan however received mixed reactions from different nations. The sentiment caused jitters due to its opaque and contentious nature, making many people cast doubt in its validity. For many years, and even in the present times, America has continued to project her enormous power in various fields in the world stage, maintaining in the process, her sole status as the most powerful nation in the world. Therefore, this catch word preferred by the republican presidential candidate was marred with ambiguity, as many wondered at what exact moments  in modern history had United States ceased, being the greatest nation on earth.

   2:Black is Beauty

For a long period of time, the world has been haunted by the ghost of racism. The color of one's skin in different occasions has been used as a factor in making inferences on a wide range of issues, rather than individual's content of character. People especially with dark complexion have a good experience, as they have endured lengthy periods where they have being victimized on the basis of their race. Though the cases of racism have significantly reduced in recent times, this disempowering social norm hasn't been fully eradicated from human society. Race is still an issue among those people still blinded with color issues. In the modern world, there is still much to clean, as traces of this race symptoms are still present in current systems, where they are institutionalized and deeply structured, that it takes a careful observer to notice this systematic defect. This can be linked to complexities that were involved in establishing this systems.Bearing in mind that sometimes incongruity can be concealed in what may appear to be otherwise accurate, complicates the matter more.

In reaction to racial stereotypes propagated around, many found relief in the use of the phrase 'black is beauty.'However this slogan being reactionary in context, hasn't been an effective countermeasure to racially inspired motives. Black just like any other color present in the world, is unique in its own way,and explaining this to people still disillusioned by race issues can amount to waste of precious time. Dwelling in this phrase as a defense mechanism may imply lack of confidence or uncertainty on self. Diverse colors, black being one of them, display and manifest their beauty in a variety of ways either in individual forms,or when blended together.

3:We are the most special of all

In different periods in the history of mankind, various people and groups from different corners of earth have always tried to justify their actions using this word. In most cases this creates division as it stems from belief systems and doctrines that cannot be supported by facts and logics. The blindspot in the statement is that most of those who propagate it do not state why they think they are more special than the the rest, and for what purpose, and how their special status helps empowers humanity and the world in general.

What can factually be established and confirmed, is that the world is a stage where distinguished ladies and gentlemen from diverse backgrounds, in the shared spirit of love and excellence, comes together and joins hands to make incredible contributions towards making the world a better place.

   4:Hail Hitler

This was a popular term used in reference to Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi party that ruled Germany in 1930s. The slogan was used as a show of allegiance to the fascist dictator under whose reign, acts of atrocities inspired by hate and false racial doctrines were committed against fellow humans. The Fuhrer, as he was referred to by his subordinates, was highly esteemed and revered by his many supporters to almost a deity status, as they overwhelmingly embraced his gospel of hate and shared in his ideologies. The infamous slogan was used to affirm one's loyalty and many factions even took oaths in the name of Hitler rather than the state of Germany.

Through acts of terror, many of the dissidents and those who might have had opposite views that contradicted those championed by the Nazi regime, were silenced. For fear of reprisals or being victimized, many might have used this slogan as a way of saving their lives. Deep in their souls, hail Hitler to them might have translated to 'kiss my a**'
